Itinerary

Saturday

By a comfortable train we arrive to Penzance, a delightful town on the Lands End Peninsula of Cornwall.
Checked in our hostel we walk along the beach to a picturesque fishing village, Mousehole Mousehole. With its remarkable name and history this is a real gem in Cornwall.
Mousehole was sacked by a Spanish raiding party in July 1595 when the whole village except one house was burnt to the ground. That house, Squire Keigwins, whose owner lost his life defending it, is now the oldest remaining.

Sunday

Visit of the unique Minack theatre Minack theatre, built on cliffs by a remarkable woman, Rowena Cade.
Relax, beach games and picnic at Porthcurno Beach Porthcurno Beach, hidden sandy beach, said to be one of the best in Cornwall.
Walk along the wild coastline to Land´s End Land's End, the most westerly point in mainland England. Have your photograph taken at the fingerpost.
Back to Penzance chill out in Admiral Benbow pub, famous for its corsair history. We recommend great sea food specialities and local ales.

Monday

Low tide allow us to visit another gem of Cornwall, St Michael's Mount St Michael's Mount.
St Michael’s Mount is truly unique; a tiny, rocky island filled with astonishing history and natural beauty, yet still a living, working community of people. This is no dusty old museum – St Michael’s Mount is full of life, a place where ancient and modern sit side by side, and where nothing is quite as it seems…An island – which you can walk to when the tide is low. A medieval castle – that is still home to a modern family. A tranquil, beautiful location – that has played its part in many furious battles.
