Two hours South of London, lying just off the centre of southern England, the Isle of Wight is known as the Garden Isle, and rightly so.

From long golden sandy beaches, unspoilt craggy coastline, secluded bays to beautiful river valleys and forests, fresh seafood, historic harbours and picturesque villages… Isle of Wight has it all whether you are swimmer, surfer, walker or lazy to do anything at all.
It is blessed with a very favourable climate, being consistently warmer and sunnier than the English mainland.

Let us take you on a relaxing break to sunniest place in the UK!

Highlights

Ride on the high speed hovercraft - fastest Isle of Wight passenger ferry
Relaxing time at hidden bays and award winning beaches
Shanklin Chine historic woodland and waterfalls - natural walking trail
Thatched cottages and tea gardens of "Old Village"

Check the video of beautiful Shanklin town and beach, Old Village & Shanklin Chine

Itinerary

After a quick train journey from London, our day really starts at the ferry port on the south coast of England. We depart from Portsmouth Portsmouth - Spinnaker Tower , base of warships and historic ships.
Get ready for high speed Hovercraft Hovercraft which will "fly" us over to the Island in 10 minutes.
A hovercraft, or air-cushion vehicle, is an amphibious vehicle or craft, designed to travel over any sufficiently smooth surface supported by a cushion of slowly moving, high-pressure air, ejected downwards against the surface close below it.

Before midday arriving at Ryde, the gateway to the Island - attractive Victorian town with a pier from 1820.
The Island Line train (line opened in 1864) will take us to the Shanklin - one of the Island's most popular seaside resorts but still with quiet relax ambiance.

You can choose relax on the beach or explore the area on feet.

The seafront Shanklin beach - long sandy beaches catering for all tastes of activities - swimming, surfing, sea canoeing, sailing, and pedalo hire, with the towns amenities nearby.
Fisherman's Cottage, a lovely thatched pub on the beach to cater for hungry stomachs. Nearby Shanklin Chine Shanklin Chine - a fissure in the cliffs stretching into the land is well worth a visit as a walk down the winding path through the trees ferns and waterfall is magical.
Shanklin's Old Village Shanklin's Old Village , a collection of beautiful thatched cottages with lovely tea gardens.
There are also many walks options around Shanklin with paths climbing St Boniface Down to Ventnor and Wroxall.

Late afternoon we leave sunny coast aiming to be back in London around 8pm.
