Ahoj, víte někdo jestli musím prokazovat znalost angličtiny ke zkoušce life in uk k získání britského občanství? Jsem tu už přes 6 let. Na této stránce: https://www.gov.uk/english-language píšou, že viz níže: If you’re applying to settle You don’t need to prove it if you’re applying as: someone living in the UK for 6 years with discretionary leave Znamená to, že nemusím po 6 letech prokazovat angličtinu B1 nebo esol level 3? Jsem zmatenej protože tam píšou applying to settle, nevíte někdo o tom něco? Prosím o radu, děkuju

Dear Roman, 1)Ano, budes muset prokazat znalost anglictiny ke zkousce “Life In The Uk” k ziskani British citizenship. 2) Exemptions: when you don’t need to prove your knowledge of English If you’re applying to settle You don’t need to prove it if you’re applying as: someone living in the UK for 6 years with discretionary leave Znamená to, že nemusím po 6 letech prokazovat angličtinu B1 nebo esol level 3? Odpoved: DL se na tebe urcite nevztahuje. Nicmene tady je, co znamena DL: Discretionary leave You will get discretionary leave to remain in the UK if the UK government does not think you should get refugee status or humanitarian protection, but that it is still not suitable for you to go back to your home country – for example, if you have no family there to look after you. If you get discretionary leave to remain in the UK you will be allowed to stay in the UK for 3 years or until you reach 17 ½ years of age, whichever period is shorter. So, for example, if you arrive aged 16, you will get permission to stay for 1 ½ years. You can apply to extend your discretionary leave, and if this is successful you will be able to stay in the UK for another 2.5 years (30 months). You need to fill in a form to apply for an extension of your discretionary leave, and it is very important that you do this before your discretionary leave runs out (for example, before turning 17 ½ years of age, if this is when you have been given permission to remain in the UK until). You should ask an immigration advisor to help you with this, if possible at least a few weeks before your discretionary leave runs out. If you have had discretionary leave to remain for 6 years, you can apply for indefinite leave to remain, which means you can stay in the UK permanently. https://www.gov.uk/english-language Hope it helps...
