How to start ??

Hi I would like to know how to start new life in UK, I already have two kids 7 years and 6 months and I am on maternity leave now, as I work for NHS. Previously I share a room but now there is a lot of us so I need a proper flat or house. But where to search? And how to manage work kids and pay a rent? Please any ideas? thanks
