Havel - A Life

Michael Žantovský, the current Czech Ambassador to the UK, will talk about his latest book, the biography of his lifelong friend, President Václav Havel. Mr Žantovský has combined a career in politics and the foreign service with writing and translating into Czech many contemporary British and American authors. He was among the founding members of the movement that co-ordinated the overthrow of the Communist regime. In 1990 he became spokesman, press secretary and adviser to the President.
